Barcelona, Spain– “Swab: small piece of absorbent material attached to the end of a stick or wire. Swab will absorb 35 galleries around the World between the 15th and the 18th of May 2008 in Barcelona.”

So reads the introductory paragraph within the website announcing the city’s hottest art event, Swab, which will unfold next month in a funky old galley arsenal in the heart of town. This colourful event will see the likes of over 30 exhibitors flocking to Barcelona everywhere from LA to Copenhagen to display and sell some of the most eclectic artwork around.

Organized by the Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo Diezy7, a Collector’s Preview will take place on the afternoon of the opening day on the 15th of May, whilst the reception party promises to be a hot night out.

Single entry tickets cost $23/£11 (and students enjoy a further discount), so make sure you don’t miss this fabulous event.
