Galleria Meravigli played host yesterday to one of the first shows of the current Settimana della Moda in Milan. The sultry beachwear of Parah Noir was paraded down the runway, featuring plenty of black (of course), chocolate brown, animalier prints and metal details. The collection’s silhouette was fluid and sensually glam, one that was perfectly embodied by none other than 31 year old supermodel Esther Canadas (known within fashion circles as ‘the lips’), who utterly captivated the audience.

This was her first appearance on a catwalk after an extended absence which, she explained, was because ‘I was filming various movies in Spain, I looked around myself for a while and after all, I can afford to choose what I want to do.’ She made a brief remark as to the end of her second marriage to ex-motorcycle champion, Sete Gibernau, whom she tied the know with just over a year ago. Yet perhaps the most perplexing comment of hers was when asked what vote she would give her beauty: ‘Well, maybe a 5, a 6 if I’m made-up really well.’ Frankly, I find her utterly ravishing and would give her a full 10.
