Imagine waking up every morning and opening your window to a breathtaking view. Well, if you are lucky enough to be staying at the maison de charme, Villa Rosmarino, on Mount Portofino in Italy, waking up each morning will take on a very different meaning indeed.
Having recently stumbled upon this gracious villa, Villa Rosmarino has been converted into a refined accommodation that is located a mere stone’s throw away from Camogli, a colourful and vibrant fisherman’s village. With it’s green shutters and wall frescos, this little gem exudes a charm that is utterly enchanting. Each of its six unique bedrooms (above left) have been tastefully furnished, and the attention to detail is reflected in everything from the Carrara marble bathroom sinks to the fresh, white sheets. The sweet smells of magnolia, lavendar and rosemary fill the air, whilst guests can enjoy respite from the hubbub beneath the shade of the ancient fig tree by the pool. And it goes without saying that the views are utterly inspiring.
Of course, aside from its astounding scenery, Italy is also renowned for its glorious fashion. And by fashion, I don’t just mean those ultra luxe (and ultra expensive) brands, but also those boutique labels which, although may be lesser known, equally embody quality and fine craftsmanship. One such label is handbag creator, L’Aura, whose creations have been featured in everything from Vogue Italia to Glamour. One of our favourites is its Maria Teresa large black patent bag (above right), perfect for carrying everything from your Evian to your weekend essentials.
But most importantly of all, Italy is the also the land of fiery amore. Which is why it shouldn’t come as a surprise that just in these past few days, Justin Timberlake and girlfriend Jessica Biel were caught exchanging (quite) a few passionate kisses in the romantic streets of Rome (left). In fact, the couple are enjoying a well-deserved vacation in the country’s capital, mixing passion with culture with visits to several of the city’s key landmarks.
