5 Sunraysia Steps to Successful Detoxing

In the past few weeks, excesses have prevailed: excessive food, excessive alcohol, and excessive partying. As fun as it may have been, your body is now simply craving plenty of TLC, and there’s no better way to give yourself some love than by detoxing. But fret not, detoxing doesn’t mean you will have to give up on food with taste. With the help of the scrumptious cleansing drink, Sunraysia, and a handful of tips from nutritionist Charlotte Rush, BSc RPHNutr, you’ll be able to turn the chore of detoxing into a game (well, almost).

(1) Banish the boredom of detox!

Variety is the key to a healthy balanced diet. Eliminate the chance of boredom causing you to fall off the wagon by alternating your detox juices. Gain the full range of vitamins and minerals for healthy function and detox safe in the knowledge that you are consuming top quality ingredients. Maximum nutrition = minimum boredom.

(2) Detox your fridge.

Out with the refined foods and in with common sense. Ready meals, refined foods, and foods with salt, additives, and sugar are obviously not good for detoxing the body. Bring in the fresh fruit and vegetables and keep well stocked with healthy juices and snacks

(3) Keep safe.

The idea of a safe detox is to cleanse the body by eating foods that are close to their raw natural state. Fasting, or severely restricting what you eat, limits your nutrient intake as well as restricting your energy. These are both essential for good health therefore limiting your intake severely will only serve to make you feel unwell. It does make sense to avoid caffeine, alcohol and foods high in fat, sugar and salt, and increasing your fruit and vegetable intake as well as drinking plenty of water, is also beneficial. Severely restrictive detox diets, that involve taking in nothing but water and fruit or vegetable juices for prolonged periods, are not easy or safe, however a daily fruit and/or vegetable juice combo drink in combination with a healthy varied diet is a quick and simple way of gaining one of your 5-a-day.

(4) Look after your liver.

Give your liver a chance to cleanse. The best way to do this and maintain optimal health, is through consuming a balanced diet, including wholegrain cereals, lean meat, fish, low-fat dairy products and at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day. The liver is your internal detox organ and the body will naturally cleanse itself given the chance.

(5) Make the decision.

Once you make the decision to detox, fresh juices are a must. As well as drinking straight Sunraysia juices, you can always add a combination of fruit and vegetables, this will allow you to maintain a varied intake.
