While gallivanting around Tokyo this month, keep an eye out for Keith. And it won’t be one man you’ll find, but four. Music is Keith’s game and further fame is the desired claim. Have you fathomed this riddle yet? This group of blokes from Manchester (left) is collectively known on the indie scene as one entity with a self described ‘psychedelic’ sound. They have just released a new album, Vice & Virtue, and with Franz Ferdinand producer Dan Carey behind them, it might just be a hit. The band’s first solo tour of Japan begins in the next few weeks.
Washington DC
Only a couple days in office and Obama is transforming what it means to lead a country. Inevitably, with the hip Prez in office, the once stuffy political city, that will be his home, has become a place to travel to once again. To celebrate change and the beginning of a new era, rub elbows with the current party of power at Democratic favorite, Local 16. Later, along with your new Demmie friends, you can appreciate the multicultural influences of our ever-evolving world at the Chi-Cha Lounge where hookahs, cocktails, and salsa come together to create a most enjoyable evening.
Milan
On the 29th of January, Italy’s fashion capital will transform into a veritable artistic hub. Why? Because three different galleries will contemporaneously inaugurate three different exhibitions across the city. Galleria Raffaella Cortese will host the second solo exhibition of American artist, T.J. Wilcox, displaying a variety of never-before-seen collages and the video, L’eau de Vie. Galleria Francesca Kaufmann will be unveiling exclusive works from German artist Thomas Zipp, whilst Giò Marconi will see the participation of artists Catherine Sullivan, Vibeke Tandberg and Wade Guyton.
