Is the recession affecting your health? With surging stress levels, people are buckling under pressure and resorting to newfangled rituals to restore wellbeing. However, one age-old antidote is often overlooked in our frenzied lives. How about a healthy dose of TLC?

Being in love can improve your health beyond the proverbial spring in one’s step’. Researchers at Yale and Harvard University found that people with no history of heat angina tend to be in loving relationships and Janice Kiecolt-Glaser found that people in happy marriages had more effective immune systems than those unhappily married.

We all know that sex is a great cardio workout and stress reliever, but Sheryl Walters of Natural News says copulating infuses blood with the antibody immunoglobulin, thereby enhancing blood immunity.

Being loved up can keep you in top physical and mental form. Oxytocin secreted when engaging in loving embraces and sex.  This hormone aids the release of endorphins, creating a positive relaxed feeling, promoting health and peace of mind.

To top it all off, summer is the perfect time to engage in a spot of health-boosting adoration. In 2007, the Canadian Institute of Health Research demonstrated that sunny weather is a mood enhancer and promotes sociability. Coupled with psychological research that people with positive personality traits are more attractive and you have a fool-proof recipe for summer lovin’.

So what are you waiting for? Have some fun in the sun and enjoy a summer romance. After all, a little bit of TLC goes a long way in promoting good health.
