Statement Scarves

With the frosty transition from fall to winter, statement scarves are this season’s most versatile accessory. Missoni kept it toasty with extra long, thickly woven threads, whilst Halston made a wild style statement for Fall/Winter 2009.

Full-figured divas with scaled up features (think big eyes, long necks or large hands) should carry thick scarves that hit above the knees, whilst petite ladies should opt for fine kits in bold patterns and colours with the ends gathered at the hips or waist. Those with slim, long necks should ruche scarves around their necks to show off their swan-like features.

Look to the stars for style tips; Molly Sims and Halle Berry wove bright colours into sober ensembles with scarves that double up as shawls. Alexander McQueen’s iconic “God Save McQueen” pashmina and Jonathan Saunder’s sophisticated prints will never go out of style, while Missoni’s silver lamé scarf adds sparkle to your winter wardrobe.

Stay ahead of the fashion pack and invest in this practical and stylist staple!
