Red-Hot Style

”Tis the season of long scarves, cashmere coats and furry boots. While glitzy minis and sequins dominate holiday parties, avoid looking like a giant disco ball and ignite the festive spirit with fiery red.

On the Fall 2009 runways, Donna Karan and Erdem revived timeless silhouettes while Alexander McQueen and Lanvin flirted with fantasy and the avant-garde, proving that red remains the go-to colour of this holiday season. This classic hue flatters practically every skin tone, whilst boosting sex appeal and confidence with it’s come-hither appeal.

Replace your LBD with a tiered taffeta number by Marchesa or body hugging bandeau dress by Hervé Léger. Alternatively,  inject a burst of colour into your work wardrobe with a  bouclé sleveless dress by Oscar de la Renta or stretch crepe dress by Halston, both of which will take you from office to cocktails when accessorised with sky-high heels and a clutch.

As temperatures continue to drop, beat the seasonal chill with some red-hot fire.
