Verdura Fulco Cuff

To mark their 70th Anniversary, Verdura has recreated the legendary Maltese Cross Cuff designed by Duke Fulco di Verdura for Coco Chanel. The enamel Fulco Cuff is available in a limited edition of 70 pieces adorned with rubies, sapphires and emeralds.

The cuffs were designed in the early 1930s when Chanel invited young jewellery and textile maestro Fulco di Verdura to craft a series of bijoux using her personal collection of precious stones, many of which were gifts from lovers.

Chanel’s brilliance teamed with Verdura’s expertise resulted in a cuff that is nothing short of fabulous. Nan Kempner and Diane Vreeland adored the pièce de résistance and turned the Fulco Cuff into a must-have accessory, one that will never go out of style. Brooke Shields wore Chanel’s original  to the 2009 Metropolitan Costume Institute Gala, instantly dressing up her minimalist one-shoulder teal gown with panache.  And if you wish to follow Coco’s style, wear two at a time. After all, Madame Chanel once said, “The point of jewellery isn’t to make a woman look rich, but to adorn her.”
