Last night, the Eternal City of Rome hosted the Italian Premiere of Nine, a film that has been nominated for five Golden Globe awards including Best Picture.
Adapted from the award-winning 1982 Broadway production, Nine is a vibrant and provocative motion picture that follows the life of world-famous film director Guido Contini (played by Daniel Day-Lewis) as he reaches a creative and personal crisis of epic proportions while balancing the numerous women in his life.
Directed by Rob Marshall, the movie stars numerous high calibre actresses including Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Judi Dench, Kate Hudson, Fergie and Sophia Loren, who shines as Guido Contini’s mother.
Held in association with MARTINI®, the Roman premiere attracted the cream of the celebrity crop with the film’s leading ladies taking centre stage.
