Chanel Hosts Free Art Exhibition for Tribeca Film Festival

This year, one of New York’s most highly anticipated events–the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival–shall turn a luxury fashion boutique into an art gallery. The event organizers have teamed up with Chanel to host a free exhibition that features the works of top contemporary artists who have contributed to the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival Artist Awards.

The gallery show, which is open to the general public, is currently being held at the Chanel boutique in Manhattan’s trendy SoHo district. On display are paintings, sculptures, photographs, and drawings from leading figures that include Yoko Ono, Stephen Posen, and Spencer Platt.

The 2010 Tribeca Film Festival Artists Awards programme is sponsored by Chanel, and reflects the traditions of the maison‘s founder Gabrielle Chanel, who was an avid supporter of the arts.

Until April 28 2010. Chanel, 134 Spring Street, Manhattan, New York.
